Mission Statement

The mission of the Cherokee County Drug Lab is to aid Cherokee County Courts in monitoring criminal offenders with alcohol and/or drug related issues and reducing drug and alcohol related recidivism rates by providing reliable, cost effective, random drug and alcohol screening.

The Cherokee County Drug Lab facilitates drug and alcohol testing in coordination with the Cherokee County Court System and the Cherokee County Accountability Courts. Lab Collection hours are 6:00am-10:00am, 7 days a week. An additional afternoon collection period is available Monday through Friday for NON-ACCOUNTABILITY COURT donors between 2:00pm and 6:00pm (excluding holidays.) The cost of drug testing in the afternoon has been reduced FROM $35.00 to $30.00. The Cherokee County Drug Lab is located at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Canton, Georgia. The address is 100 North Street, Suite G23, Canton, GA 30114. The lab is on the ground level and the entrance is located on the back-side of the building.

Randomized testing requires you to call 678-261-5870 or check in online at https://doi.testday.com/ and enter the PIN #1497 daily 12:01 AM-9:59 AM. This is the TestDay Hotline for drug testing with the Cherokee County Drug Lab. If you are instructed to test, you must report to the Cherokee County Drug Lab between 6:00am and 10:00am or 2:00pm and 6:00pm* for a drug/alcohol screening.

*Afternoon hours are only available for non-accountability court participants, Monday through Friday; excluding holidays and weekends.

A valid ID is required at the time of testing. Payment for drug testing is required at time of service. There are TWO acceptable forms of payment: money order/certified check or a credit/debit card. Credit/debit cards must be in the name of the individual testing. Unless specified otherwise, the amount due for a drug test is $35.00.

If you have been court ordered to test at the Cherokee County Drug Lab (or the Cherokee County DUI/Drug Court Lab: old name) or have been placed on the "color wheel" then you are to be calling the hotline and reporting for testing as directed with a payment and valid ID. No drug test results will be given over the phone.  For confirmation of positive drug test results through forensic testing, a payment of $65.00 must be brought to the lab during collection hours within seven (7) days from the date of the test.

The Cherokee County Drug Lab is taking additional precautions, as outlined by the CDC and the Georgia Department of Public Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
